New licenced product to treat Cushings disease - PRASCEND contains the same drug Pergolide that is used to treat Cushings disease but it is licenced for use in horses.
The Pergolide previously prescribed for your horses is a human formulation that will soon be unavailable - it has been banned for human treatment in the USA, and there are only a small number of patients still receiving it in the UK.
PRASCEND will be available at the same price as Pergolide but has the benefit of support from Boehringer Ingelheim for ongoing research into Cushings disease. Currently you can benefit from a voucher to get money off lab test fees.
